Tennis Shoe sculpture by Jim Dine at the Buffalo AKG Art Museum
In 1962 American artist Jim Dine released a work, called Tennis Shoe, that featured a tennis shoe attached to a wooden board with everything painted over in one color.
Here is a very superficial simulation of hit work done in digital paint. There are many different options for what the shoe has on it (though the underlying style remains the same), what color is used, and where it and the text are placed on the work.
