Audio for this style algorithm. The sheet music.
This style algorithm is a simple expression of Bach’s Inventions which he composed for piano demonstrating simple counterpoint for two voices.
In my version a theme taken from the first eight notes of the Platonic Score is played in the first voice while the second remains silent. In the next measure the first voice plays the first four notes of the theme augmented (stretched out, so to speak) while the second voice plays the theme an octave lower.
In the third measure the first voice plays the theme inverted wile the second voice plays the augmented first four notes. And then in the final measure both voices play the theme simultaneously an octave apart.
As mentioned, this is a very simplified approach to Bach’s Inventions but can, if one chooses options carefully, sound quite musical. I have planned a full treatment of all 15 of his inventions.
